Exporting video from Ocularis

Overview:
  • Go to browse, set start and finish markers
  • Go to Export, choose AVI File
  • Click Setup and ensure video codec is set to "Xvid MPEG-4 Codec", hit OK
  • Choose Export
Detailed Instructions:
First, choose your camera and click "Browse" from the top bar.  Then go to your desired start point and choose "Set Start Marker" from the lower left corner.  Drag the video to the desired end point and choose "Set Stop Marker"
.  After that choose Export.

From the Export Options screen choose "AVI File".  Ensure the Folder and Filename are pointed to the locations you desire and then choose "Setup".  From here, ensure that the Video Codec is "Xvid MPEG-4 Codec" and hit OK.  Now hit Export and your video will begin to export.

Your computer will now begin exporting the video.  You will see a blank grey box popup and your computer/ONSSI may even seem unresponsive.  This is completely normal as exporting video is very intensive for the computer can take quite some time (how long exactly depends on the length of the footage).

Once the grey "Xvid Status" box disappears your video should be exported the location you specified.
